Crisis Nursery Receives Three Foundation Awards
The New Year celebration continues at the Crisis Nursery with the recent announcement of three foundation awards granted by the Chapman Family Foundation, William T. Kemper Foundation and the Vassia Family Charitable Foundation.
Nursery CEO DiAnne Mueller said receiving these awards on the heels of the annual Holiday Hearts Campaign,
which granted Christmas wishes to more than 1600 young girls and boys, proves the community cares about the agency’s mission and is invested in building stronger families.
“The Chapman, Kemper and Vassia grants further extend our reach in the community,” said Mueller. “These grants will help us feed three warm meals to each Nursery child, and offer emergency care to children when their parents are in crisis and unable to provide a sufficient level of care.”
The Crisis Nursery is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. When parenting becomes overwhelming, the Nursery is there to care for children, birth to age 12.
Parents in need of crisis intervention or counseling to help prevent child abuse and neglect should call the Crisis Nursery 24-Hour Helpline at (314)768-320, and (636) 947-0600 in St. Charles County.
