Lighting up anything indoors is bound to attract attention
At 11:45 p.m., police were summoned by employees of a business in the 100 block of East Jefferson Avenue Oct. 27 about a customer attempting to smoke marijuana inside the business. Officers arrived and located an adult male patron outside of the establishment in possession of marijuana and related drug paraphernalia. He was arrested.
Early morning dispute erupts between drunken roommates
At 7 a.m., Shrewsbury police were called to the 7500 block of Suffolk Avenue regarding an argument between two intoxicated college roommates over a credit card bill. The argument became physical, so both men were arrested for third-degree assault and issued citations to appear in municipal court. One of the men had an outstanding traffic warrant from another police agency.
Exercising poor judgment
A woman said her estranged girlfriend assaulted her Oct. 17 at the Arnold Recreation Center. Police were unable to contact the suspect, a 52-year-old Arnold woman, and said a restraining order prevents the suspect from contacting the victim.
A man was issued a summons after a man exchanged a large-screen TV at Walmart Oct. 17 and on his way out the door, stole a shopping cart
Grabbing Some Buds
As the Cardinals were shellacking the Milwaukee Brewers Oct. 16 in Game 6 of the National League Championship Series, someone decided to Grab Some Buds (or a similar brew) from a business on Union Road in Mehlville.
The things we steal
Someone stole grease from the grease storage tank at d. Dooley's 026 Grill, 568 Old Smizer Mill Rd., Fenton. An investigation is ongoing.
