Breaking News: Crestwood Police Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect

The arrest is connected with the Kohl's robbery that occurred May 12.

 

Crestwood Police have arrested a man they believe is connected to the armed robbery that occurred on the Kohl's parking lot on May 12. The 17-year-old man was arrested without incident by Crestwood detectives in conjunction with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police in the 3800 block of Wyoming in St. Louis City.

The suspect will not be identified until formal charges are filed with the St. Louis County prosecuting attorney's office. 

The robbery at Kohl's occured at 10:43 a.m. when a 32-year-old female customer was approached on the parking lot by two men in a green Chevrolet Impala. One man displayed a handgun and demanded the woman's purse. The vehicle last was seen traveling west on Watson Road. 

Two similar incidents occurred at the Kmart on Lemay Ferry Road and at the Mackenzie Pointe Dierbergs in Shrewsbury. Crestwood detectives are coordinating efforts to identify others involved in the robberies.

Crestwood police arrested him ? or the St. Louis City Police arrested him?..It's not everyday you see a Crestwood city police car on the 3800 block of Wyoming..

Crestwood detectives worked in conjunction with St. Louis Metropolitan Police and he is now in Crestwood custody.

Good Job !!. .I was beginning to wonder why a town of 11,000 inhabitants in a financial crisis had four detectives and a supervisor.
