Public Q&A On Latest Crestwood Court Redevelopment Plan Set for October
Crestwood city officials are hosting a town hall meeting to discuss and answer questions on the latest proposal for the mall.
Redevelopment proposals for Crestwood Court were due to the city this week, and Crestwood officials have set the date for a public forum with the mall's owner next month.
Residents will have the opportunity to attend the town hall-style question and answer session with Centrum Properties on Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. Mayor Jeff Schlink will facilitate public questions.
Redevelopment proposals were due to Crestwood on Sept. 18. Aldermen are expected to discuss the redevelopment during their Sept. 25 board meeting.
At their Sept. 11 board meeting, Crestwood aldermen gave the nod to draft an agreement with St. Louis firm PGAV Planners to handle planning services.
Centrum Properties had talked about creating a multi-purpose plaza with restaurants, entertainment venues, and plenty of space for public events. Aldermen, however, said they were 'underwhelmed' by the company's concept when they first presented it to the public in June.
Representatives with Centrum Properties said they'd like to have the property revamped with new tenants ready for the 2014 holiday shopping season.

It looks like this is already ' a done deal ' no matter what questions are asked.
The meeting is in place to appease the pitchfork waving citizenry that might show up. ..Just your standard Board of Aldermen meeting really.
