UPDATED: Crestwood City Administrator Job Posting Going Live This Week

The city begins the process of finding a permanent replacement for Petree Eastman. Crestwood Fire Chief Karl Kestler has been acting city administrator since March.

The city of Crestwood is a step closer to securing a new, permanent city administrator.

The job posting went live Thursday on the Crestwood city website.

The city has gone through a handful of administrators in the last six years, the most recent of which was Petree Eastman. Eastman served less than six months of her contract before separating from the city for undisclosed reasons. Her annual salary was around $98,000, according to previous Patch reports.

Crestwood Fire Chief Karl Kestler has been acting city administrator since March.

Ward III Alderman Jerry Miguel, who mentioned during the board's Aug. 14 meeting that he's watched three administrators come and go during his term, encouraged an open selection process. Miguel said he's been "put to task by residents" over previous selections, and expressed interest in meeting with candidates earlier in the process, rather than shortly before appointment.

Ward II Alderman Deutschmann also mentioned he'd like to "be sure we can cooperate with the individual."
