Crestwood Ducks are Off to the Races
Not sure what to do this Independence Day? Cool off at the pool and adopt a duck!
The City of Crestwood is hosting its 11th annual Lazy River Duck Race at Whitecliff Park July 4 at 2 p.m.
Adopt a duck -- a rubber duck, that is -- and enter it in the race around the pool for the chance to win a 2013 family pass to the aquatic center (first place) or four tickets to all remaining 2012 and 2013 Whitecliff Summer Playhouse productions (second place).
The top ten ducks to make it to the finish line will also win prizes...as well as last place.
Cost is $5 to adopt a duck and all proceeds benefit the Whitecliff Summer Playhouse.
In 2011, more than 200 ducks were entered into the race, contributing about $1,000 for the Playhouse.
