Crestwood Man Claims $1 Million Lottery Prize

Daniel Flanagan purchased a winning Mega Millions ticket at the Watson Road Circle K on April 12.

A man from Crestwood claimed a $1 million lottery prize from a ticket he purchased earlier this month, the Missouri Lottery announced in a press release.

61-year-old Daniel Flanagan purchased a Mega Millions ticket at Circle K, 9931 Watson Rd., on April 12, according to the press release. The winning numbers were 1, 10, 13, 19 and 21. Because Flanagan added the Megaplier option to his ticket at the time of purchase, the prize was increased from $250,000 to $1 million.

The second prize in the game is paid in a lump sum, so he received a check for $710,000 after tax withholding, according to the release. The convenience store also received a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
