Crestwood-Sunset Hills Chamber of Commerce Hosts Carnivale
Auctions, casino games and a stilt walker were included in the night's festivities.
Two Hearts Banquet Center was transformed into a mini-Rio de Janiero Saturday night, as the Crestwood-Sunset Hills Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Carnivale.
A stiltwalker and Shaggy Sounds DJ kept partygoers entertained while they partook in Blackjack, Roulette, a balloon dart game and a gambling Jogo games. Each player got $500 in chips to play for the evening. Those with the top three totals at the end of the night got to select one of three prizes.
Charlie and Lauren Scarlett, members of the Chamber and owners of BrightStar Care, attended this year's event for the first time.
"We're really excited to be here. It looks like it's well attended and they worked really hard at it," Lauren said.
After silent auction item tables closed a live auction began, with Eraser Top Design's Steve Boggeman served as the auctioneer.
A portion of the night's proceeds from the Gala's auctions went to the Chamber's scholarship fund. Last year three $1,000 scholarships were awarded to local graduating high school seniors.
