Early Construction Begins on New Grabber School
The school plans to move into the old Cadillac automotive building on Watson.
Women (and men) will soon have a discounted place to get fancy. After being in Ballwin since 1981, the Grabber School of Hair Design is making a move to Crestwood.
The move has been in the works since December, and school administrators say that they are so early on in the construction phase that they do not have an opening date. Their website, however, for now pinpoints sometime in 2012. The move will give the school triple the space that they currently have.
“We’ve been trying to move for a while,” said Donna Troll, school administrator. “Real estate on Manchester is outrageous.”
After seeking out locations for a while, they found the old Cadillac building. Once the move happens, the warehouse, shipping and the school will be conveniently combined into the one building. They now are in separate buildings.
Troll also hopes to expand upon the currently 75 students enrolled, however class rotation will stay the same.
“Now we can just have larger classes,” Troll said.
Advanced students also offer standard salon services to the general public at a discounted price. Haircuts, color, nails, facials and a full line of salon products also all will be housed in the one location.

It might be intersting to compare how the revenue the defunct Cadillac dealer
generated compares to the new business. However 'low taxes' is better than ' no taxes.'..
