Sunset Hills Police said the woman pawned and sold the rings for money to buy heroin.

A former nursing home worker was charged Aug. 13 with stealing rings from residents at Friendship Village of South County nursing home in Sunset Hills.

Lynnette Michel, 37, of the first block of Dallas Drive in Bella Villa, faces two counts of felony stealing.

Sunset Hills Police said Michel worked as a housekeeper at the nursing home at 12635 Friendship Ridge Lane, and stole two rings in June from patients. One ring was valued at $2,000 and the other was valued at $2,500.
