I'm curious -- don't the authorities already communicate sufficiently among themselves? What is driving not only this tower but the "updated" emergency communications system? Is this a Homeland Security/TSA scheme to further operate surveillance on the general public? Is it federal grant money the local politicians just insist on grabbing and spending? Or is there a real need somehow? Some reporting on just what this scheme is might help the citizens decide whether this tower is warranted or not. Do they need it for communication for the fleet of drones they plan on keeping watch on us? Or just to help ambulances talk to law enforcement? With all that's gone on regarding our freedoms in the last 10 years, especially in the last 4, I just don't trust the "authorities". Well, as one US president famously stated, "Trust but verify".
