To the Communities of South St. Louis:

This is to let you know the petition to "Bring Trader Joe's to the Communities of South St. Louis" is still going strong. We believe Trader Joe’s letter to Larry Stone and the Affton Community Involvement Association is confirmation that the store may now be looking in our direction. I am sort of a the-cup-is-half-full kind of person, and I see this letter as a positive response, a sort of an introduction that we are coming. My neighbors and I believe this area will be the new up-and-coming neighborhood, similar to the way Maplewood became the new up-and-coming neighborhood. By petitioning for Trader Joe's to come, hopefully they will see this too.

The recent petition signing at Highway 61 Roadhouse and Kitchen was a great success, brining in over 150 signatures in one afternoon. Upcoming petition signings will be held at General Grant Car Wash on Wednesday, September 26th from 11am-1pm and Friday, September 28th from 11am-4pm. We currently have 1700 signatures total, including paper and on-line petition. At this point, I would like to see the number continue up to 2,000. Please, keep this ball rolling. To help get signatures more quickly, please "Like" our facebook page and post the link to the on-line petition on your wall. http://signon.org/sign/bring-trader-joes-to-1

Due to the time it takes to produce a video and promo kit for submission to Trader Joe's, the petition collection deadlines have changed to October 8th. There are many petitions that have been passed around. I will do my best to collect them all by this date, but at this point I am not sure where they all reside. Please make arrangements for pick-up or deliver by emailing me at traderjs2stl@yahoo.com or you can mail them to “Bring Trader Joe's to the Communities of South STL”, P.O. Box 6925, St. Louis, MO 63123.

I personally, would like to thank all of you for your hard work and efforts. With a little faith and your help, together we can make this happen.

Sincerely,
Carol Boss
Affton Resident

Good luck. If they were smart they would do this. That location on Manchester is just wretched. Whichever politicians and bureaucrats permitted the Manchester/I270 intersections and businesses to the west should be arrested for endangering the public. God only knows the kickbacks received on that one.

DAN CERONE, MAYBE TRADER JOE;S SHOULD CONSIDER SUNSET HILLS, A NICE COMMUNITY IN SOUTH COUNITY OF 8000 PLUS RESIDENTS THAT DOESN;T HAVE A GROCERY STORE. I TRAVEL LONG DISTANCES TO SHOP FOR FOOD.
