Man Steals Dad's Truck; Father Ends Up With Broken Leg
The father tracked his son and his friend to a Crestwood parking lot and was injured when the friend drove off in the truck while he held onto door handle.
A man stole his father’s truck, and his friend drove off in the truck while the father was hanging onto the door handle, breaking the man’s leg, according to a Crestwood Police report.
Crestwood Police said that Nicholas Doane, 19, of the first block of Wampler Drive near Arnold in Jefferson County, took the truck from his father’s Jefferson County home.
Using an app on his cell phone, the father tracked them to the parking lot at Kohl’s department store in Crestwood, police said. He confronted Doane and his friend, Anthony Passiglia, 28, of Arnold, in the parking lot and demanded they return his truck.
Passiglia jumped in the truck and drove off as the owner was holding onto the door handle, according to the police report.
“The victim suffers a broken leg and is on the parking lot in pain,” the Crestwood Police report reads.
Police said Passiglia backed the truck up and Doane “jumps in the truck and drives off, leaving the victim on the parking lot.”
Doane was charged with stealing a motor vehicle. Passiglia was charge with second-degree assault and stealing a motor vehicle.
Doane has posted a $15,000 bond and has been released. Passiglia is being held in St. Louis County jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond.

You've got to be kidding me. Likely more meth head trash in the making. I would have charged the kid driving with heavier charges than a simple assault and the bail is a joke for that kind of behavior. On a second note, that Kohl's on Watson seems to be a magnet for thieves and malcontents. Crestwood continues to sink.
