Police: Couple Stole Items Worth $20,000 in Crestwood, Glendale
The man faces criminal charges in Ladue for stealing jewelry, silver worth $200,000.
A man charged with stealing jewelry valued at more than $200,000 in Ladue also faces stealing related charges in Glendale and Crestwood. His girlfriend also is charged with stealing.
Justin Roux, 22, of the 200 block of Clayton Oaks Drive in Ellisville, was charged Sept. 7 with stealing in Glendale and Sept. 10 with receiving stolen property in Crestwood.
Roux’s girlfriend, Tracy Rockwell, 22, of the 9100 block of Grant Farm Trail in Crestwood, also was charged Sept. 10 with stealing.
Crestwood Police said she stole two sets of Sterling silverware, valued at $15,000, and a silver necklace, valued at $600, from a home on Paul Adrian Drive between May 10 and June 13.
Police said she worked as a babysitter for the victim’s granddaughter, had been in the home when the items disappeared and had access to a key to the home.
Police said Roux received the items from his girlfriend and sold them, knowing they were stolen.
Glendale Police said Roux also stole two gold necklaces, a pair of gold and diamond earrings, and a silver ring with an aquamarine dome with a total value of $5,000. Roux moved a TV stand from the mother's house to the home where the items were stolen, according to a police report.
Police said Roux became a suspect because of similar thefts in Ladue, where Roux also faces four counts of felony stealing.

Both these kids came from decent schools. Perhaps they should have been taught the difference between a misdemeanor and a felony...

Substantial jail time ought to wipe that smirk of that girl's face. How much of the $200K (or is it $20K, the Patch employees seem confused) was derived from items stolen from the "babysitting" job? If she was the instigator behind this, she deserves MORE time, not less because she's female. Do the right thing prosecutors!

Hmmm interesting, I live 1 street over from Tracy Rockwell and my home was robbed last year. Good old Crestwood PD was useless, looks like I'm going to have to do their job for them.

Ann, now that she's in custody they have her fingerprints. Might be too late to have any surface at your home testing though. My experience with this type is that they are serial thieves, often feeding drug habits by fencing these stolen goods. It is certainly a possibility this "team" robbed you.
