Patch is collecting information about summer camps in the area for our guide. This is your chance to tell us about the camp your group, faith-community or organization is operating.

The St. Louis area always has a wide variety of choices for summer camps. We expect that in the summer of 2013, boredom won't be an option.
Organizations from the YMCA to your local parks and recreation department offer dozens of camp choices for science, reading, sports, music and more. If you know of an organization that will be running one this summer, please help us spread the word and get that information collected in the form below.

Don't forget Vetta sports on Tesson Ferry. There are a lot of camp programs through Mehlville Community Enrichment. Info is on school district website. I think Grants Farm has one as well.

A second opinion on Vetta Sports.
Tyler at Vetta Sports Manchester runs a great program, has a great team working with the kids. I very highly recommend Vetta. Top to bottom, the hands down best program I've found for my kids, even the older ones that have the opportunity to help out as Junior Counselors and build relationships, social skills, and experience if they want to pursue summer jobs when they are older or sports-related careers.
They are also one of the few programs to offer before and after care for parents that work. Many of the camps are really only partial day camps for 4-6 hours a day.

Yes- Coach Tyler is awesome! My kids go to Vetta Camps as well- Concord, Manchester and St. Charles. Love them!

Don't forget the non-sports camps, too. There is a math camp at Ladue that focuses on the fun side of math, including making robots, launching water balloons with a catapult, a working mechanical computer to show you how they work, and tons of math games and activities.

Please post whether the camps being recommended offer before/after care or are full day camps. Many kids have both parents working and don't have half-day schedules during the summer.
The math camp looks interesting!
