Crestwood Mobil on the Run Lottery Winner Comes Forward

Gerard Chase purchased a $1 Quick Pick ticket for the Nov. 26 $2.4 million jackpot.

Ever since the Nov. 26 Quick Pick winning numbers, 2, 20, 22, 31, 33 and 37, were announced, the Crestwood community and the at 9950 Big Bend Blvd., eagerly awaited the winner’s announcement.

Going unclaimed for almost two months, Gerard Chase, 61, of Marlborough, came forward.

He bought the $1 Quick Pick ticket at the Mobil after getting gasoline, and he knew that he had the winning numbers three days after the lottery drawing after hearing an announcement on the morning news while driving to his job at AT&T. He went to a local store, stuck the ticket in the reader and his life changed to one of a lottery jackpot winner.

He said that he started shaking and immediately called his wife. He returned home and once the couple repeatedly rechecked the winning numbers at MoLottery.com, they knew they had the winning combination.

According to the Missouri Lottery, he has been holding the ticket in a safe deposit box while he and his wife “started the process of getting some information on what to do and when to do it.”

Chase told the Missouri Lottery he plans to use the money to help pay his child's college tuition and student loans, and to make his retirement "a little easier." He is the 327th Missouri Lottery-made millionaire.

The Mobil received $24,000, or one percent of the $2.4 million jackpot. Lotto is a twice-weekly Draw Game with jackpots that start at $1 million and grow until someone wins.
