Duck Race Nets $1,010 for Whitecliff Summer Playhouse

Just over 200 ducks took part in the 10th annual Lazy River Duck Race fundraiser on July 4.

Just over 200 rubber ducks waddled around the lazy river at the Crestwood Aquatic Center on the Fourth of July.

It was all part of the 10th annual Lazy River Duck Race, sponsored by the Crestwood Parks and Recreation Department and the Whitecliff Summer Playhouse.

For a $5 donation, participants could adopt a duck for a chance to win pool passes and season tickets to the theater. The event raised $1,010 for the playhouse, which is in the middle of its 22nd season in the park.
