Patch Launches Local Voices to Feature More News and Views From Community

SunsetHills-Crestwood Patch will showcase local bloggers, and also provide lots of stories about our community from independent news sources.

Since the launch of SunsetHills-Crestwood Patch on Dec. 7, you’ve come to know Patch as a go-to resource for news about your cities.

In addition to covering events and issues, the Patch directory provides information about only local businesses and services.

You’ve no doubt used the Events and Announcements sections to find out what’s going on here and nearby. Perhaps you’ve added your own info to Patch by sharing photographs and commenting on articles.

  • Blogs: We've invited people you may already know to post blogs using Sunset Hills-Crestwood Patch. They may already have their own blogs too. We’ll feature local bloggers in Local Voices.
  • Scott Haggerty, our Sunset Hills alderman and real estate expert is the first one to blog here, with his solid writing and good ideas.
  • News: Patch is really a one-stop destination for news about Sunset Hills and Crestwood. We'll now supply headlines from other local news sources and feature them in Local Voices. Patch will round 'em up.

  • Opinion articles are now listed under the News tab.

What’s not new?

Speaking of Opinion, our great contributors who weigh in with their insights, views and reflections are still here. You will still find Jill Arnone, Sally Rains, Scott Haggerty and Vicki Lorenz Englund here. Click on News tab and select Opinon from the drop down menu. Bloggers will now add even more opinion and ideas to SunsetHills-Crestwood Patch.

As the SunsetHills-Crestwood editor, I will continue to cover community news, write articles and columns, and take photos and video. You’ll still see me doing my job around the cities, along with Sunset Hills and Crestwood contributors whose work you’ve gotten used to reading and viewing.

We still want you to post your own photos, weigh in on the comments sections and activity streams, follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook. If you haven’t already done any of these things, consider this your invitation!
