Funeral Services Set for Maci Gapsch

The 11-year-old Sperreng Middle School student died last week following a house fire. Her great-grandmother and father also died as a result of the fire.

Visitation begins Tuesday for the 11-year-old Sperreng Middle School student who died following a South County house fire last week.

Maci Gapsch died on Aug. 28, one day after an early morning fire at her home at 10005 St. Simon Court.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3 at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Funeral services will begin at Kutis at 9:15 a.m. on Sept. 4 and continue to St. Simon the Apostle Catholic Church for a 10 a.m. mass, according to the Kutis Funeral Home website.

Maci’s great-grandmother, Georgette Gapsch, 79, and father, Terry “T.J.” Gapsch, 38, were also victims of the fire. Funeral services for the family members were held on Aug. 31.

Maci's sister, Mia, also attends Sperreng. The Lindbergh Schools Foundation has established a fund to provide for her needs. Contributions may be made to: Lindbergh Schools, c/o Gapsch Family Fund at 4900 South Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63126. Write “Gapsch Family Fund” in the memo line. Cards may be sent to Sperreng's school guidance office.
