Non-Profits Now Eligible for 2013 Car Cruise Grants

501(c)3 organizations may apply for a grant from the Route 66 Classic Car Cruise through April 30.

Grant applications are now being accepted for the fourth annual Crestwood-Sunset Hills Route 66 Car Cruise, which will take place August 10, 2013.
Each year, the Route 66 Classic Car Cruise chooses one or more local charities to benefit from any excess revenues generated by the Cruise.

All applicants must have a 501(c)3 status and complete a grant application by April 30, 2013. All entries should be submitted to Steve Boggeman, C/O Crestwood – Sunset Hills Area Chamber of Commerce, 9058-A Watson Road, Crestwood, MO 63126.

The event is free to the public and will include vintage automobiles on display, fun games for the entire family and musical entertainment.

The 2012 Route 66 Car Cruise grant was awarded to the Children’s Tumor Foundation, a nonprofit medical foundation that is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of individuals and families who are affected by neurofibromatoses. Past recipients have also included CHADS Coalition, the USO Toys for Tots campaign and Lindbergh Schools Foundation Teacher Grant Program.
