Hope you had a great Labor Day weekend! Here's your five tidbits for Tuesday, Sept. 6.

1. Did you register for the Crestwood Doggie Dive? My dog Maddux is registered and excited to go at 5:30 p.m. with the small dogs. Large dogs are at 7 p.m. Registration ended last week, but don't worry, you have a chance at the Sunset Hills Doggie Splash next week.

2. To piggyback off a story that we ran last week regarding , the numbers are in. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports 10 traffic deaths, two boating fatalities and two drownings over the weekend.

3. On this day in 1901, President William B. McKinley was shot and mortally wounded by anarchist Leon Czolgosz at the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo, N.Y.

4. On this day in 1995, Cal Ripken Jr of the Baltimore Orioles played in his 2,131st consecutive game, breaking a record that stood for 56 years.

5. On this day in 1997, the funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales took place in London. More than a million people lined the streets and 2.5 billion watched around the world on television.
