Grab a cup of coffee or tea and pull up a comfy chair. It's time for the Daily Five.

1. The Crestwood-Sunset Hills Area Chamber of Commerce has a at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening. The meeting is open to the public.

2. On this day in 1993, Late Night with Conan O'Brien debuted on NBC. The show aired 2,725 eipsodes between 1993 and 2009. It featured comedy material, musical talent, stand-up performances and perhaps most notably, celebrity interviews.

3. On this day in 1788, the Constitutional Convention decided to hold the first-ever federal election the following February. That was the day that George Washington was elected as the first U.S. president. On the same day, New York City became the country's temporary capital.

4. On this day in 1948, Margaret Chase Smith became the first woman to serve in both houses of Congress when she was elected to the U.S. Senate. She later became the first woman to be nominated for the U.S. presidency at a major party's convention.
