1. St. Louis County will re-test several of its new outdoor emergency warning sirens this week between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.. Only one siren will be tested at a time. The individual one-minute siren tests will be preceded by a voice announcement stating that the alert is only a test. 2. The Regional Arts Commissions is accepting applications for the Katherine Dunham Internship for the 2012 winter semester. The internship includes a $2,500 stipend and is designed to encourage African-Americans in the arts administration field. For more information, visit www.art-stl.com/rac/interns.cfm or call Diane Kline at 314-863-5811. 

3. The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program has begun its search for America's top youth volunteers of 2012. Through Nov. 1, Missouri students in grades 5-12 can apply for the award at http://spirit.prudential.com or www.nassp.org/spirit.

4. Through November, the Pepsi Refresh Project is challenging Americans to submit their best ideas to help improve education through the Pepsi Challenge. At RefreshEverything.com, submit ideas or vote for your favorites.

5. The  is in need of volunteers throughout the year for various events and activities. The department is looking to recruit people that have a strong desire to help, lively personalities and the ability to work in many settings with a diverse group of individuals.
