1. Sunset Hills-native Brad Loyet will race in the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series on Friday and Saturday. Loyet hopes to win his second straight and third overall POWRi race. He won at Jacksonville, IL last year.
2. On this day in 1982, Princess Grace of Monaco, previously known as American actress Grace Kelly, died from injuries sustained in a car accident the day before. Kelly had married the Prince of Monaco in 1956, six years after she began her acting career.
3. KSDK reports that in Sunset Hills could be closing by the end of the month after nearly 50 years in the flower business. The shop is running in-store sales galore in an effort to move inventory. DeFoe told KSDK that the worst part about possibly losing his business is that he'll lose the opportunity to serve the community.

4. On Sept. 14, 1978, Mork & Mindy debuted on ABC. The series starred Robin Williams as Mork, an alien from planet Ork, and Pam Dawber as Mindy, his friend and roommate. The two married in the show's final season in 1982.
