COMTREA sponsors Emmy-winning actress Meredith Baxter in the premiere of A Safe Place, a one-act play on domestic abuse by Carol Kline. Dessert, coffee and tea along with book signings of Ms Baxter’s recently released book, Untied: A Memoir of Family, Fame, and Floundering follow the play. Funds from the play will be used to expand shelter capacity and implement a new transitional housing program for women leaving the shelter who need housing assistance for more than six months.
