Student Transfers: How Many In Lindbergh Schools?

Lindbergh and other districts have absorbed the impact of more than 2000 students from Riverview Gardens and Normandy schools.

Reporting by Gregg Palermo

The Cooperating School Districts late Tuesday released preliminary figures showing a district by district breakdown of how many students had transferred from the Riverview Gardens and Normandy school districts.

In the Lindbergh School District, a total of 18 students had requested transfers from the unaccredited districts. That figure is not final. A little more than 300 students who did not get placed in their first, second or third choice districts are still in the process of getting placed.
In addition, KSDK and other news outlets are reporting that lawsuits could soon be filed to force Mehlville and Kirkwood, the districts identified by Riverview Gardens where transportation would also be provided, to accept all who requested a transfer.
