American Idol's Bo Bice Concert Sunday at Helen Fitzgerald's for Charity

Bo Bice lends a hand for Sunset Hills tornado recovery fundraising, beginning at 4 p.m.

Bo Bice of American Idol fame (runner up to Carrie Underwood) is set to perform Sunday at Helen Fitzgerald's in Sunset Hills, beginning at 4 p.m.

His concert is part of a fundraising effort for the city's Tornado Assistance Fund started by Sunset Hills's city government. Nearly $225,000 has been raised and more than half already distributed to about a dozen or more families who lost homes and possessions in a New Year's Eve tornado that rocked the area.

Bice was at the top end of the age limit for competing in American Idol when he won his way through the 2005 season to finish runner up to Carrie Underwood. The Southern rocker's 2005 version of Inside Your Heaven turned Gold, replacing Underwood's version on the charts, according to Wikipedia.
