Big Bend Storage Facility on Hold

A four-story EZ Storage has run into difficulties with the property, according to Crestwood Mayor Jeff Schlink.

A planned storage facility on Big Bend Boulevard is on hold.

The Crestwood Board of Aldermen unanimously approved a plan for a 60,000-square-foot EZ Storage at 9900 Big Bend Blvd. last September.

Mayor Jeff Schlink provided a short update on the project at the Board’s Feb. 12 meeting.

“What we know is they’ve run into some difficulties with the property. To our knowledge it’s not a dead issue, it’s nothing to do with the city,” Schlink said.

The facility will include driving lanes and indoor parking for tenants with larger items. When the four-story facility is completed, customers will have daily access to storage units 7 a.m.-9 p.m. All tenants would be given access codes to the facility.

The site was chosen for its proximity to the interstate and the high traffic count along Big Bend, said Stephen Nolan, of Nolan Realty Investments.
