Crestwood Court Gap to Close

Court officials look positively toward the future, knowing that there is always a 'dawn.'

Even though will be closing its doors for good at the end of August, officials are positively looking to the future for the space.

Leisa Son, marketing and specialty leasing manager for Crestwood Court, said that the Court project started in 2008.

"We turned over space to local artists in addition to current retail space," she said. "We now have art galleries—it's been a great complement to the retail space the last couple of years."

Events like last weekend's and the upcoming are welcome additions to the area.

"We certainly always welcome events and want to be a strong community partner, so when people like the UCP reach out to us, as well as with the artists here, we have a lot of great events," Son said.

While there are currently no known plans for the Gap space, the long-term plan is to redevelop the facility.

"While I'm certainly sad to see them go, there is a long-term plan and know that there is always a dawn," Son said.

St. Louis shoppers can take advantage of marked-down prices through the end of August. The Crestwood location is no longer getting new shipments, so it will not have any of the new fall collections. For the best selection, visit the Gap Galleria or Gap Chesterfield locations.
