Crushed Red Opens Monday in Kirkwood

Take a peek inside the new restaurant opening in Kirkwood Station Plaza Monday.

Crushed Red is wrapping up preparations to open in Kirkwood's Station Plaza.

The restaurant is the second location in St. Louis, next to the parent Crushed Red in Clayton.

Powell Kalish with Crushed Red told Patch the restaurant would open Monday, serving up create-your-own salads, soups, pizzas and "shareables" (appetizers). Kalish said they will also serve beer and wine, and host happy hours.

The space was formerly occupied by Pazzo's Pizza, closing its doors in January after about a year in business. Prior to Pazzo's, La Salsa and Johnny Rocket's also had a try at occupying the location neighboring Pickleman's.
