Local Harvest Aims for October Opening in Kirkwood

The South City eatery is hard at work preparing 6,000 square feet of retail space that will house products exclusively from local, organic and sustainable sources.

From Kirkwood PatchLocal Harvest hopes to open in Kirkwood in mid-October, according to co-owner Patrick Horine.

Kirkwood Patch received questions from readers via our website and Facebook page about the status of the grocery store and café that will be housed in the 6,000 square feet of retail space formerly occupied by McDonnell's Market at 12309 Old Big Bend Road.

"We are hard at work preparing the space," Horine said.

It's clear residents are excited that the popular South City eatery chose Kirkwood for its newest location.
