Photos: Calendar Models Sought at Mile 277 in Sunset Hills

A contest is underway at Mile 277 Tap & Grill to find local models for its calendar. Every Thursday night, different girls compete for the prize.

Last Thursday night, the stage at  turned into a runway for the restaurant’s Calendar Girl Model Search. Six volunteer contestants participated in three modeling rounds as patrons and judges voted for their favorite.

Out of the six contestants, two made it to the next round. Every Thursday night, the Sunset Hills restaurant will hold a contest with a different set of girls until they have reached the 12 girls that will be on their calendar. Thursday night was week four of the contest.

On week seven, the 12 girls will compete to become the cover girl of the Mile 277 calendar. The cover girl will also receive a $1,000 cash prize.

The restaurant had somewhat of a club atmosphere as strobe lights, artificial fog and DJ Kevin Broz got the party started.

“I like the crowd this event bring; it’s a great atmosphere,” said Ben Strake, Mile 277 manager. “This is a one of a kind experience.”

Part of the proceeds of the night are donated to the March of Dimes organization.
