Crestwood's New Go-Kart Track in Final Stretch to Opening

Folks who've been itching to jump in the electric go-karts at the new Pole Position Raceway don't have too much longer to wait--in fact, they could be racing as early as this weekend.

It's taken just a few months to transform the 56,000-square-foot Value City department store into an indoor track.

"95 percent of the construction is complete and we hope to be finished early next wek," according to the track's latest Facebook post. "... If all work is approved, and occupancy permits are allowed, we might be open by St. Patrick's Day."

The go-kart track will be available to both youth and adult riders, traveling at speeds of up to 45 mph. Pole Position Raceways offers several membership packages, including group rates for events and team-building activities.

Opening update (posted at 4:45 p.m. on March 15):

Pole Position had a soft opening on St. Patrick's Day. It will be open for business starting Monday, March 18, at 11 a.m., according to the track's Facebook page.
