Regions Bank Construction Warrants a Huge Flag

Bank moving from Lindbergh to Watson Road.

Regions Bank showed no signs of slowing its schedule on finishing a new bank building on Watson Road near Lindbergh Boulevard in Sunset Hills.

There's now an enormous American flag hanging on the front wall of the incomplete building facing Watson Road.

The bank got an okay from Sunset Hills this Spring to move ahead in demolishing a small strip mall at the site in order to build a bank with several drive-thru paths.

The new building appears to have more outdoor and drive-thru facilities than the current building on Lindbergh, and less indoor square footage.

Bank officials said they hoped to be in business at the new location (next door to Denny's restaurant) sometime this fall—possibly September.

At that time, Regions said it would close the current bank on Lindbergh Boulevard, near Burger King, at 10722 Sunset Hills Plaza.
