Comments: The inspector found some food in a walk-in cooler was not stored at least six inches off the floor. Single service cups were being used as dry food scoops.

San Jose Mexican Restaurant, 9570 Watson Rd.
Date: Aug. 22
Grade: A (100)
Comments: Chicken left sitting out at a prep sink was moved to a cooler. Single service cups were being used as dry food scoops. Other items were improperly stored, according to the report.

Rich & Charlie's, 9942 Watson Rd.
Date: Sept. 5
Grade: A (99)
Comments: The dish machine was not properly dispensing sanitizer, and bottles of insecticide were stored in the mop sink area. Dishes were not stored to protect food contact surfaces. The inspector recommended that the oven hood be cleaned.

Comments: No food was on site at the time of the inspection.

McDonald's, 9915 Watson Rd.
Date: Aug. 21
Grade: A (100)
Comments: Insecticide was stored under a soda machine. Employee belongings were found stored in a walk-in cooler. Wet wiping cloths were stored near a mop sink, instead of being stored in sanitizer solution.

Red Lobster, 9838 Watson Rd.
Date: Sept. 5
Grade: A (100)
Comments: Dishes were not stored to protect food contact surfaces. A cracked ice scoop was recommended for replacement.
