Family Fun Events Coming to Sunset Hills

Everyone in your family can enjoy these upcoming events happening in a community near you.

Sunset Hills’ residents and surrounding communities do not want to miss these fun, family-friendly events. The festivities begin with people of all faiths joining together at city hall on Thursday, May 3 from noon to 1 p.m. to pray and read scriptures in observance of the “National Day of Prayer.” There will be similar gatherings taking place at the Arch and other locations throughout the city.

  • will have its Ford National Service Sales Event during the week of April 30 to May 7. Passersby will not be able to ignore the 12 foot inflatable tire and banners decorating the dealership. Car enthusiasts may also be interested in attending ’s 70-year anniversary celebration from May 7 to 12 and June 11 to 15 to take advantage of special deals and offers.
  • St. Louis SHIMMY car show on June 4 and Full Throttle Midwest and Elmo’s Bar’s Grease, Gears and Grooves car and bike show on July 21 are more opportunities to see retro-inspired hot rod cars and bikes from all over the Midwest. Both events will have live entertainment, food and drink vendors and ample parking.

 "We are hoping everyone in the community come out to enjoy our  fifth annual car and bike show featuring a pin-up show, four bands and  fun activities for everyone,” said Full Throttle Midwest Editor, Cari Potter  and Claire De Lune Productions owner and event planner, Cheri  Hutchings. Portions of the event’s proceeds will be donated to Amvets.

  • will have its annual Art Fair from May 11 to 13. Sightseers can choose from an array of original artwork and crafts from 150 artists from across the country. There will also be food and drinks on site for purchase.
