Two Men and a Truck Expands Facility, Cuts Ribbon

The training facility is designed to teach movers extra safety and customer service objectives.

On the move this summer? Customer service and morale are two improvements due to the new training facility on Gravois. The Crestwood-Sunset Hills Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the Fenton Chamber of Commerce cut the ribbon on a 5,000 sq. ft. mock home training facility. Patch sat down with Tom Schopp, marketing coordinator, to talk about the moving company's extra home.

Patch: What are some features of the new facility?

Schopp: The new facility is a 5,000 sq. ft. mock home that includes a full kitchen, laundry room, two bedrooms, living room, office and the training classroom. Trainees will spend three days learning how to pack and move an entire home.

With the addition of the new training facility, it lowers turnover rate through proper training and safety. All employees will have the opportunity to see how a move is completed from start to finish which in turn, customers can look forward to well trained and more professional service. Customers now have the opportunity to receive complimentary carpet shield and mirror boxes with their move in order to protect their home.

Patch: Why did the company decide there was a need for expansion at this time?

Schopp: We are always looking for ways to expand our business to create a better service. Our training facility is designed to provide our movers as much knowledge as possible about moving and packing a home as well as a business. We wanted our movers to be trained in safety and customer service.
