Cindy McDaniel - Candidate for Lindbergh Schools Board of Education

The time is right for me to give back to the community and I would be honored to serve on the Lindbergh School Board. I appreciate your consideration and support at the polls on April 2, 2013.

GOALS AS A BOARD MEMBER

Lindbergh Schools have consistently ranked high in academics and have received numerous local, state and national awards. However, economic conditions and financial constraints may make it increasingly difficult to build on past successes. My goals are to:

  • Continually monitor funding formulas, evaluate the fiscal outlook, and control operating expenses.
  • Maintain and continually improve academic performance; simultaneously address legislatively driven academic requirements.
  • Ensure appropriate resources and services continue to be available for gifted students and learning challenged students.
  • Advocate advancements in technology usage on a standardized, district-wide, and cost-effective basis.
  • Address growth in student population and maintain class sizes.
  • Attract and retain quality teachers.  Respect their opinions and needs, and ensure their overall job satisfaction.
  • Ensure campus security. Promote drug and alcohol education, and enforce student conduct standards.
