Crestwood Animal Shelter has many beautiful kittens and cats. We also have some great dogs available for adoption. These animals make fantastic pets and companions for you and your family. Our shelter is a wonderful place to volunteer! We have about 30 fantastic, fun volunteers who come in for morning or evening shifts. They exercise the animals as well as feed and keep them clean. We get so much in return! A purr or rub from the cats or a tail wag and kiss from a dog. Just watching them play is so rewarding! If you would like to volunteer or donate in some way, please let us know!
I am a Crestwood resident and dog owner as many of my neighbors are. Many times I know someone by their dogs name, as in Molly's mom or Jackson's dad. Most of these folks are responsible pet parents, but to be honest, some are not. I've noticed on my many walks around the neighborhood, in Crestwood's beautiful parks, that people are not picking up their dog's waste! NOT NICE! Please take the time to pick up the poop! Bags are available in most parks, on Grant's Trail, or grocery bags can be used.
