Crestwood Court's Final Tenant Leaves

If you need to visit LensCrafters, head to South County Center.

Crestwood Plaza is no more. LensCrafters--which became Crestwood Court's final retail tenant after the Post Office closed in January--is now closed. (You'll remember the rest of the mall was closed to the public in July.)

The chain's nearest location for Crestwood and Sunset Hills residents is next to South County Center, 122 S. County Center Way. (There is also a store in Des Peres.)

After unsuccessful Board of Aldermen votes to approve a project planner, the mall's owners said they were considering piecing off the property. However, there may still be hope for the redevelopment--the Crestwood Board of Aldermen are currently seeking planner bids for the project, according to St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The property will undergo an environmental assessment as well, Call Newspapers reports.

Meanwhile, the site is becoming a frequent haunt for vandals. Most recently, individuals broke windows, spray painted graffiti, threw paint and discharged fire extinguishers.

Check out the mall in all its creepy glory in a photo gallery by Dan Wampler on Riverfront Times.
