A Complete Guide of Christmas Activities the Entire Family Can Enjoy

Pictures with Santa, movies and musicals will add extra joy to your holiday season.

Come together with family, friends and neighbors to celebrate this holiday season with these fun activities that everyone can enjoy. The month of events will kick-off on Dec. 2 with a meet and greet with Bruce Degen, acclaimed author and illustrator of The Magic Schoolbus children's books at the in . This will be followed by classes on building a gingerbread house to decorate your holiday table, Christmas musicals and movie nights hosted throughout the city. Read below for a complete list of activities taking place in your community.

Christmas in Crestwood

Meet Bruce Degen, author and illustrator of The Magic Schoolbus children's books at the in  Dec. 2-4. There will be lots of fun, free activities including visits from Clifford The Big Red Dog and Ms. Frizzle. Call 314-941-2097 for more information.

Attend the  Christmas Musical Dec. 2- 3 at 7:30 p.m. and a Christmas Eve Service Dec. 24 at 5 p.m. with Christmas carols and candlelight. There’s no charge for the events, and everyone is welcome to attend.

 hosts “Happy Birthday, Jesus!” from 9 a.m.-noon Dec. 3. Parents can leave their children up to fifth-grade school age with daycare workers to enjoy crafts and breakfast while they do some early holiday shopping.

Learn how to build gingerbread houses and enjoy breakfast with Santa at the  Dec. 10. Visit the city’s website or call 314-729-4860 for cost and further details.

 hosts a movie night at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 10. Children of all ages are welcome to attend. Call the church office at 314-961-5275 for the movie title.

Breakfast with Santa from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Dec. 11. Enjoy a complete breakfast of pancakes, biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage and bacon and receive a souvenir picture with Santa. Tickets are $5 for adults ages 18, $3 for children over the age of 3 and children under 3 eat free. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Christmas Family Fun Night is at 6 p.m. on Dec. 18. There is no charge for the event and everyone is welcome to attend. Call 314-843-1133 or visit www.southminsterstlouis.org/ to reserve your family’s seats.

 

Christmas in Sunset Hills

Members and friends of Faith Church will meet at the St. Louis Zoo for “Wildlights” on December 2 at 7:30 p.m. Children up to age 11 are welcome to attend. Tickets are $5 per person.

Faith Church “Believe” Christmas production showing on December 4 at the Earth City Campus at 4 and 6 p.m., December 5-6 at the Sunset Hills Campus at 7p.m. This event is free and open to all ages. Visit Faith Church’s website to register for tickets.

St. Lucas Church “One Starry Night” Advent Festival and a live nativity scene with dinner on December 4 at 3p.m. Dinner tickets are $5 for guests ages 12 and older and $3 for guests ages 4-11. Kids under 3 eat for free with a ticket. You can get tickets from the church’s office and/or the Welcome Center during Sunday services. Call 314-843-2100 for more information. Christmas Cantata featuring live music and caroling on December 11 at 9:45a.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Sunset Hills Community Center Breakfast with Santa on December 13 at
9-11:30a.m. Tickets are $6 per person including donuts, crafts and pictures
with Santa.
