1) Crestwood's Economic Development Commission meets 7 p.m. in City Hall chambers with Forrest Miller as chairman and Mayor-elect Jeff Schlink is a member. A commercial vacancy presentation is scheduled, and discussion on marketing efforts.

2) Night of Jazz, 7 p.m. at the Lindbergh District auditorium includes Sperreng Middle School students and high school students.

3) Truman and Kennerly elementary schools each are having a transition-to-middle school visit for parents of fifth graders, followed by PTO/PTG/PTP meetings. Truman's begins at 9 a.m. in the cafeteria, Kennerly's begins at 6 p.m. in the library.

4) No school on Friday, April 22, so make plans now.

5) Sunset Hills has a job opening for a police officer, with a salary range of about $43,600 to $62,400, including extra pay for degrees beyond high school, insurance, pension plan, two weeks of vacation after a year, one week of sick leave after six months—two weeks after a year, nine holidays, one personal day, uniforms and cleaning provided, and increases the longer employed. Good eyesight is important.
