April 22: No School on Earth Day and 'Good Friday'

Happy Earth Day!

1) No school in Lindbergh district, which translates into a three-day weekend.

2) It's Earth Day, founded in 1970 by a Wisconsin senator and now celebrated in ways across the nation that conserve resources—going Green—and focusing on Earth Day's three Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

3) Saturday Bonus: Sunset Hills Earth Day Bash noon-4pm at Community Center, rain or shine since indoors and out. Includes music, energy saving info., organic gardening, holistic medicine, green crafts, clowns. Collecting styrofoam for recycling.

4) Saturday Bonus: Crestwood Easter Egg Scramble, White Cliff park Community Center 10am, ages 2-10, meet the Easter Bunny and hunt for eggs. Residents only.

5) Sunday Bonus: Sunset Hills Easter Egg Hunt 1pm at its new location, the Community Center front lawn, with prizes inside the hunted plastic eggs including cash, candy, toys and more. Free, all welcome.
