Excessive heat warning issued through Tuesday at 7 p.m.

1) If you don't have to go out - stay inside. An excessive heat warning has been issued for the St. Louis area by the National Weather Service. The high is expected to reach 101 degrees with heat index values as high as 112. 

2) Beat the heat by heading to 7-Eleven for a free 7.11-ounce Slurpee today. The convenience store is giving away the free frozen drinks to celebrate its 84th birthday. Patch will provide more details shortly.
