Excessive heat warning continues through 7 p.m. Tuesday.

1) The excessive heat warning issued for the St. Louis area is in effect until 7 p.m. The high is expected to reach 98 degrees with heat index values as high as 111, according to the National Weather Service. There is a 40-percent chance for showers and thunderstorms in the evening with a low of 76. 

2) The Crestwood-Sunset Hills Chamber of Commerce is holding a "Business after Hours" networking meeting at Smugala's Pizza from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. 

3) The Sunset Hills Board of Alderman and the Lindbergh Board of Education are both scheduled to meet at 7 p.m.

4) The Crestwood Board of Alderman meeting scheduled for tonight has been canceled.
