1) It's Family Dinner Night (and live music) at Sunset Hills Aquatic Facility on Watson Road in Watson Trail Park. Dinner by Gianino's 5-7pm, music by Excellerators 7-9pm. Food $5 each, kids $4.

2) Crestwood Mayor Jeff Schlink proclaimed July 2011 Parks and Recreation Month and called on residents to recognize the parks' importance to health, safety and quality of life. Crestwood has 120 acres of park.

3)  Story Time for ages 3-6 with adults, at Oak Bend Branch Library 10:30am. 843 S. Holmes Ave.

4) It's hot weather half-price admission after 6pm at Crestwood's Aquatic Center in Whitecliff Park, and reduced admission after 7pm at Sunset Hills Aquatic Facility on Watson Road in Watson Trail Park.

5) Book Bites summer reading group meets 2pm Oak Bend Branch Library and discusses Frindle by Andrew Clements. Adults. Open to all. 842 S. Holmes Ave.
