Crestwood Hosts Pokemon Regionals with Four Local Champs

Kids hope to pursue further victories in July with expenses-paid trip to national competitions.

Four St. Louis kids took home top honors in the Play! Pokemon Trading Card Game Regional Championship held recently at Yeti Gaming at Crestwood Court.

Patch caught up with the Junior Division winners during a recent Pokemon tournament at the shop.

Alex Krekeler, of Maplewood, won first place in the tournament's Junior Division out of 230 players in eight states.

 Elliot Williams, of Webster Groves, won second place in the tournament's Junior Division out of 230 players in eight states.

Emily Schoen, of Florissant, won third place in the tournament's Junior Division out of 230 players in eight states.

Aidan Koenig, of St. Charles, won fourth place in the tournament's Junior Division out of 230 players in eight states.

The company offers free league play on Wednedays from 7 - 9 p.m. and on Sundays from 1 - 3 p.m.
