More Than 150 Take Part in Memorial Day Freedom Run

A caravan of military trucks, motorcycles and cars circled St. Louis to honor veterans and current military. The parade went through Sunset Hills on Gravois Road.

If you were out and about Memorial Day and saw a convoy of military trucks, motorcycles and cars, it was the Freedom Run—a new way to pay tribute to veterans, current military and their families.

The parade-like run began in Fenton and circled St. Louis on area highways, returning eventually to High Ridge. It traveled through Sunset Hills on westbound Gravois Road.

The tribute was sponsored by Faces of Freedom Fighters, a newly-formed charitable foundation dedicated to building the state's first national monument to honor Missouri's fallen military heroes.
