Patch Picks: St. Patrick's Day Celebrations

Here's the five best places or ways to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.

Here's Patch Picks for the week, just in time to cover the best ways to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Whether it's with parades, drinking brew or classic Irish meals, there's no excuse not to be proudly sporting that green tomorrow.

Here are our picks and leave a comment to let us know what your fave is?

  •  in Sunset Hills will be celebrating all day long. Come by in the morning for a hearty "Kegs and Eggs" breakfast of green eggs and ham, which goes wonderfully with the Bloody Mary special. Then, come back later for live music by Extremely Pointless.
  •  in Sunset Hills is always packed on this special day, so expect standing room only. There will be a heated tent set up on the patio for after the sun goes down and it starts getting chilly. The corned beef and cabbage dinner special is available from now until Saturday, so if you can't fit in the door on Thursday, don't fret, go the next day.
  •  in Sunset Hills starts its celebrations at 6 a.m. with a breakfast buffet, complete with your choice of a pint of featured beer, Irish coffee or Bailey's and coffee. At 11 a.m. they start serving their special corned beef and cabbage dinners.
  •  in Crestwood also offers the classic Irish corned beef and cabbage dinner, as well as other drink and food specials all day.
  • St. Patrick's Day Parade in Kirkwood
Hosted by St. Peter Catholic Church, the parade starts at 11 a.m. at the church 243 West Argonne Dr. and proceeds up the street. Pick a spot along the route to watch the floats, marchers and dancers go by. If you're lucky, you may even catch a treat or two. Church 314-966-8600.
