School Bus 22 in Crash Monday 3pm

Lindbergh at Gravois Road, a sedan car lost a tire and fender, school children looked fine.

A yellow school bus No. 22 and a sedan were involved in a crash at Lindbergh Boulevard and Gravois Road Monday afternoon, about 2:55 p.m. Both vehicles were in Lindbergh's northbound left turn lane at the traffic light.

At first look, no one seemed injured since the rescue squad did not appear to be treating anyone with medical equipment. School children were lively on the bus. The school bus driver did not leave her seat as police spoke with her for at least the first half-hour after the crash.

Police and fire arrived moments after the incident, with the ambulance running up Lindbergh from the No. 3 firehouse at Sappington Road.

The driver of the car was walking around and talking to officials just moments after the crash, in which the car's trunk was flung open, a fender dropped off the car, a left front tire was off the car, and the front right headlight area was crushed.

Traffic was backed up on the northbound side of Lindbergh Boulevard beyond the high school. It was the first day back from Spring Break for high schoolers.
